Default New Lift, Lost of HP? Any Ideas

I just installed Bilistien 5100 Shocks in my 08 1500. I noticed it doesnt have the same pick up. Does is it because the computer or MDS is not set for the additional 2" in the front? Will the computer adjust on its own or do I need to do something? Any help would be appreciated

If you went with bigger tires you might not have the correct gearing.

The PCM has no idea that you installed new shocks so there's nothing to be done in that department. Perhaps the front end doesn't raise up the way it did before when you stomp the loud pedal and this makes it feel like it isn't accelerating like it used to.

That ^^^^ could be it. Raising the truck a little bit should not affect HP or torque.

i also agree...i installed the ready lift leveling kit in my 05 and put some 285/65/20 BFG's on...when i installed the level kit there was no difference but after the slightly larger tires i noticed a small change in the "get up and go department"

Ya theres no reason for power loss with that small of a lift especially if you didnt change tire size... My truck is in the shop right now getting leveled out with the Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts so im curious to know what the acceleration will seem like with the front up a lil higher! What gears do you have? If you have the money i would just upgrade your gears to 4.10's or 4.56's!
