Same thing happened with mine. I was getting like 9/13-14. I took them off and went with 285/65/20 eventually. They are great looking tires though.

yeah that isn't a big change in size your problem is the weight difference in the tires and the aggressive tread takes more effort to roll. on pavement those tires are trying to "dig" which is what they are made to do.

Plus the fact 305/55/20 Trail Grapplers are about 80lbs a tire. That's a heavy tire for that size. Over double the stock 275/60/20

I also noticed quite a drop in MPG when I put the same size Trail Grapplers on. I watch my engine load % on my Superchips monitoring system and at 60 mph it is in the area of 65% load compared to 45% load with the stockers. I was expecting some mileage loss but not nearly this much since they are close to the same size as stock. Also, when my tires were shipped via UPS they had them listed as 65 lbs each on the shipping info.

You've added some wind resistance, some rotating resistance and some unsprung weight with those tires. I'm not surprised your MPG's went down. I saw some improvement when I went to a narrower, taller tire.
