Default 2003 dodge ram 1500 a/c blows cold only when moving

I have an 03 dodge RAM 1500 manual shift reg cab with 120k miles. It blows cold air only when moving. If I'm stuck in traffic or at a light it still blows air but its just not cold like when shes moving. Any suggestions as to what may be the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Are you seeing an increase in engine temp when stuck in traffic? If so, how much? Does the air get hot or just warm up a bit?

The A/C system will be affected by airflow across the condenser, engine temp and ambient conditions.

Make sure that the condensor fan is working whenever the A/C clutch is engaged. The A/C system needs a constant airflow across the condensor, which is pretty much garanteed when you are moving.

I agree with ransram

I would park it somewhere safe and leave it in neutral with the brake on. Open the hood and look at the fan on the condensor. It's probably sticking which will soon burn out like mine did. You can get the motor, fan and shroud on ebay for 70.00 or less.
