Default Mods I would never do again

Hi Guys I am still waiting on my new truck so I havn't done any mods but I have been living on the computer surfing the forums and making quite a wish list for when it gets here. Found a thread called mods Id never do again and it crossed a few off. would like to hear your opinions. Just a few examples. K&N filters did nothing for MPG and gumed up TB due to over oiling by owner. CAI and throtle body porting very little gain in mpg. exhaust mods hurt mpg due to always having your foot in it cause it sounds cool. I think I may drive her for a while and see how stock works. ANYway what mods would you never do again.

You've listed most of the most common ones. I haven't done anything to the exhaust or intake for the reasons listed. I am still out on adding a tuner, read some good and some so-so information and can't see the win yet of spending that much $$ to get minimal gains. I did do a drop in filter right off the bat and did't see much gain in MPG but not having to replace filters will be a cost savings down the line.

I'm not sure I'd embark on the HID mod if I knew then what I know now...

Given that list and some of the reasoning, its probably not worth doing any mods.

when you start getting in deep with mods, it gets expensive, and then when you think of trading your vehicle in, you have so much invested in it that its hard to take the hit.

just dont do any mods. save your money. If youre doing things to save MPG youre going to be greatly disappointed with what you spend and what you get back.

Oh, its also addicting. once you start you cant stop. modding is a drug

Michael's had several bad experiences with his HIDs, which is the complete opposite of my experiences with HIDs.

I would probably never buy a cat-back kit again, just have one custom made; wouldn't get a urethane roll pan, go straight to a welded-in steel one; and lastly I would only wire my headlights once... not the 5 times to date.
