Speaking from a female point of view:

Who makes the payments? If you do then she has NO rights to YOUR truck.

SHE put herself in this position, not you. I would never ask or assume that boyfriend would let me use his vehicle so I don't have to use mine. If this ends badly it is better you find out now instead of later. I would share whatever I have with my friends but when it comes to a huge investment like a vehicle.......not thinking so!

And on this from another female perspective lol, I have to totally agree!!! My ex and I were together for well over a year before the keys to my Jeep ever graced their hands lol. I paid for it, therefore it's mine. Same goes with my truck and I don't see that as territorial or materialistic, just plain out truth. Besides, the whole "our" thing is way overrated anyway lol. She wants a truck, she can trade in the SUV and get her own, so no, I don't think you're off base here. I don't trust anyone with my vehicles but my dad and the people who work on them when I take them in for service and I sure as heck don't lend them out, not anymore. Good luck with the G/F, but I'd say stick to your guns on this one and she'll get over it in good time.

I'm gonna go with the majority here. Make her drive her own vehicle, and you stick to your truck.

It's kind of funny... my wife is very materialistic when it comes to her car. She doesn't want ANYONE to drive it except for her. She always gives me a dirty look when I decide to take it out for a spin, which isn't frequently, but it does happen.
It's simple... she has HER car, and I have MY truck. I guess it works out for us as she doesn't really enjoy driving my truck, nor do I really like to drive her car (even though both of our names are on both vehicles LOL)

Girlfriend? that's all she is? FORGET IT!!!!!!! if married, ok, but just BF/GF, not only NO but HE&& NO!!!! in these economic times, MPGs are getting to be king again. even if she was willing to fill the tank with HER money, i'd still not let her. that truck is your baby. nice thing about vehicles... they don't talk back, they don't screw around on you, they are your best friend.

I'm glad my wife has no issues with vehicles. otherwise there would be all kinds of problems since we only have 2 vehicles and mine has been down for 5 months. also, i think she knows she's not the best driver cause she is just fine with me driving the family in the TnC anywhere, anytime. she tried driving my truck one time and didn't even get out of the driveway before she handed the keys over. she's only 4'10" so the seat doesn't go quite high enough for her to be comfortable looking out over that big hood. well, she won't have to worry with the truck goin up for sale and being down to one vehicle.

My wife and I have been together for 11 years. She has her DD and I have mine plus the truck. If she needs it I don't hesitate to let her have my DD at all but if she want's to "save the miles", I go out and buy her another car which really tickes her off since she hates spending money.
I finally got her an 2004 Audi TT which she absolutely loves to drive unlike her 2007 Shelby GT which just sat in the barn.

ok Im glad im not off base here in this situation. And as far as payments, my trucks paid off and I hold the title with my name only, this truck was here before she was lol. So time to suck it up and let her get over it because im not driving the highlander. And I hate toyota anyway. not because theyre not good cars but in afghanistan thats all they used against us was toyotas, didnt matter what kind but they preferred the corolla or the european version of the highlander, so refuse to drive it lol

The only time I "get" to drive her 300 is when it needs gas or needs to be serviced! The only time she drives my truck is NEVER! She wants to drive a truck then she can go out and buy one--in her name, with her money. End of story---and yes I'm used to sleeping on the couch.
