Question Performance Mod Questions

So after about 2 months of having my truck and the only mods on it being my cheapy autozone strobe lights (p.s. thanks to those on the forum who helped me out w/ the install) and 2 spotlights mounted to my bed behind the cab. But I still have my need for speed and so I am ready to invest in some performance mods. I have about $1500 to spend on parts, I am really looking for things that will increase my torque or horsepower or even maybe beef up the sound of my exhaust a little bit, which by the way is a dual flowmaster 40 set-up (my only "performance" mod), I have been looking at some things such as headers, a tuner, CAI, tbs, or even a new cam. Looking for suggestions on what yall on the forum think would be good to buy to give me the most bang for my buck. My truck is a 2005 1500 Reg Cab 5.7L Hemi by the way, and mpg is not a concern so the mods dont have to really save me gas. Thanks in advance for all the help and suggestions!

Headers, CAI & tuner are all a great choice! They work really well in conjunction with each other. For the most bang for your buck I would grab a tuner and CAI at the same time and save up and do the headers later. I have all 3 and can't complain! After I bought the headers they sat on a shelf in my garage until I saved up the money to have the muffler shop put them on.

since you have $1500 right now my vote is for gears or a cam. if you are 4wd I'd lean more towards the cam. you can add the CAI and other little things later.

Add a CAI and programmer for sure. Those will also help when you do the cam. Yup..do the cam as well!

Alright, so I think that I am going to do a programmer and a CAI. For the CAI I was looking at a vararam maybe and I'm not really sure what kind of programmer to get. Any suggestions?

Get a DiabloSport Predator for your programmer needs.

Just my suggestion. You can look at the BullyDog, SuperChips & Hypertech units as well before you make your decision.'

I just like how the Predator works and I really like the results I have gotten with them. I have two, one for my Ram and one for my SRT.

Predator and CAI take my vote. 4.10 gears would make a nice go package addition too.

Since you have a budget I would price a cam, CAI, and predator with a custom tune. If you have any money left I would do a midpipe. That part of the exhaust chokes your hemi for sure!
