Default Magnaflow vs. Flowmaster vs. ??? - Opinions wanted

This has probably been discussed on the forum a hundred times before but as a newbie, I have yet to learn how to master the search function in a way that I can get the subject matter narrowed down to find only what I am looking for. Especially as it pertains to the 2009-2011 models. So, when in doubt, start a new thread.

Topic is free flowing exhaust systems for the 4th generation Ram. Would like to hear who has done it, what brand they prefer and why, performance enhancements/reductions, plus any other good tips and tidbits (such as the best place to buy them). Particularly interested if you are using it in conjunction with a cold air intake.

Many thanks in advance.

I put a flowmaster 50 series on my last truck. It was an eyeturning sound, BUT, it was way too loud! Eventually, I traded it in for my 2011 Laramie. I, now, appreciate the sound of the stock duals. I also have a mopar CAI. Together they give a mellow roar, but not earshattering.

I have no luck with the search function on here either. Use Google Video search or youtube.

I have a 40 series flowmaster with resignators removed on mine along with Airaid CAI. It sounds pretty good, but I want louder. Here in the very near future I'm going to get true duals made with magnaflow x pipe and magnapack mufflers. That should be lound enough.

mufflex DOD 18 with AirAid CAI. I like because it isn't too load cruising around but comes to life when you want it to. I wouldn't mind if it had a little more growl to it but I don't want to have that all the time so I'm happy with the setup. Youtube has some good videos of the all the mufflex setups if you want to hear them.

I like the Magnaflow sound but it's very subjective. My suggestion is to go listen to some of the online soundclips.
