A question for you? Do you have the cash on hand? It would be better in hand than in the truck as it'll tend to lose value as it continues to age.

But as for the charger or SRT-10 that depends on what you want to haul when you're haulin ass!

I had an SRT-10 for about 1.5 years, traded my 04 lightning for it. They are nice trucks, the QC with the auto are kind of a dog stock, so I contacted DC performance and bought their Stage II PCM which adds around 80 hp, along with that I bought the magnaflow cat back and put in a K&N panel filter.. That really woke the truck up. Shaved a second in the quarter mile and would annihilate the tires, barking them hard from 1-2nd and 2nd to 3rd..

I would average around 11.5 mpg and that is driving it fairly aggressive. On the interstate the few times I checked it I could get into the high 14's..

In stock form my Folk's SRT-8 Charger would walk away from me after 2nd gear and beat me by several lengths in the 1/4 mile (14.6 to my 15.2) after the mods I would run 14.3's @ 99 (7K ft of elevation)

Here are a few pics of it with my Viper and my folks SRT-8.

Hmmm that is weird....I know srt10 puts out a lot more horses stock than my hemi with all the mods and I ran 14.9 with it before my 4.56 gears...15.2 is that what they average 1/4 mile....Maybe the elevation has a lot to do with it I would expect it to run high 13's very low 14's in stock form for QC..

Correct we lose 20-25% in power up here. My 14.2 here would net me around 13.0 closer to sea-level conditions.. My Folks Charger runs mid 14's here, they are mid to low 13 second cars at or near sea-level. Your 14.9 would net around 16.0 here..

Elevation sucks and the average DA at Bandimere Speedway here in CO is over 7800-8000 ft.

anouther thing to think about too is do you neeed a truck? if you do not need one then i would prolly go for the car.....but my personal preference would be the srt10 but i would get the 2 door 6 speed but thats my opinion...good luck choosing

I had a friend who had an 04 Reg cab with the 6spd.. Great trucks however they can be a bitch to shift. They have such a long throw and I have seen numerous people missing the 2-3 shift over and over when trying to row through them. My stock Lightning would beat these guys at the track just because of that.

regular cab is out of the question....Some of us have kids...lol...Its either quad or car..But after owning trucks for so long am I ready to get in a car, that is what I am unsure about..I guess I will have to test drive both of them before I decide...

If you want a QC, 05 and 06 are your only options.. I do not care for the changes made on the front end and the dash on the 06's but that is just me. I think you could find a nice 05 QC for low to mid 20's. I sold mine with 5K miles for 33 a couple years ago.
