You'll love the Magnaflow sound, nice deep rumble at idle,
with that hefty Growl at wide open throttle.

I love the sound of your system. Especially at a idle. I love how deep it is. That is what I want out of my truck but not too loud under normal driving. I also like that the magnaflow doesn't seem to crack out at high rpms like a lot of flowmasters that I have heard. Thanks for the clip.

They do make one with 2.5" outlets, just a little more work. PN 12288

Or you could do a 5X11 body in a 22" length with 2.5" outlets PN 12588

The 5X8 18" long has 3" in 2.25" out and that is what I have...PN 12278

Here's my install thread

I really appreciate all the great info. That puts a little bit of a damper on things for me. Where I am at there are not many places that do custom exhaust work and I think I will be a pain to neck the muffler down in my driveway. I do love the sound of the 18" body" however it is a bit too loud for me. I love the mrs. But sometimes I miss the times I didn't have to hear her and listen to my hemi purr instead. Lol. That's why I wanted the 24" muffler though mainly to change it to the throaty tone with not much more volume except when on the throttle.

You could always add a 3" single in/single out before the 18" to mellow it out more...maybe a glasspack or something!

I'll second that! I'll take the Flip HD on a ride to work tomorrow so you can hear the 18" in action. It is pretty mellow while cruising but has a mellow growl on the throttle!

Didn't think about that. That is actually a pretty decent idea. Magnaflow also offers a 3"in/out straight flow glasspack if I need to mellow it out after if it is too loud with just the 18"

Default Magnaflow exhaust

Black ram, how was the install on the 16869. Found it for 521 shipped, I have to jump on this. Did the old exhaust come off easy. I only have 631 miles.

It should be pretty easy...just use lots of WD-40 on the hangers and bolts! I'm uploading my videos from today to youtube, should be up soon
