Default mds sweet spot - doubling mpg?

2010 Quad Hemi 3.92 gears. Still breaking in (I think) at 6000 miles. 2nd oil change coming up.

Only mod is a custom lite weight aluminum headache rack that is about 1 inch higher than cab line.

I have a lead foot and always drive with the front windows and back cab window open and AC off.

So If I drive hard and without thinking about it I get a terrible 10.8mpg avg in mixed lite city and highway on flat Miami paved roads.

But, I noticed I can do on average 18mpg with a few adjustments in driving style.

I can highway at about 50mph at 1500 rpms sitting nicely at 20+ mpg on the eco evic. Turns out for me 50mph is probably as fast as I can drive in my lite traffic 10 mile commute anyways.

In city Its not easy, but I can get the truck to move while staying under 2000 rpms and if I let go of the accelerator and coast the rpms levels out to exactly 1000 rpms while Evic maxes out.

I'm not sure if I can sustain 18mpg, but for sure my truck's sweet spot seems to be 1500 rpms.

I read somewhere that somebody was able to sustain 65mph at 1500rpm on a Ram. How?

I do wonder how much impact having windows open and the Rack are introducing. Wonder how much changing to a really wide tire 13.5 will hurt and if any of those changes would be noticible looking at speed, rpms and the EVIC in real time like this. Also wonder if 4.10 gears would help or hurt my MPGs?
2012 Red Ram 1500 Hemi Regular Cab.
** PLEASE HELP .. Can I run 18x9 -12mm offset 4.5 Backspacing with 325/60/18 on a stock (no lift no level) 2wd 4th Gen RAM w/o rubbing? PLS MSG ME!

Dodge Diehard is on a distinguished road

Same with my 2006 Dodge Quad Cab Hemi . I use the speed control on the highway and set it at 55 mph. just under 1800 rpm's.
