Default Wiper issue

Ok so I'm new on here hope I'm posting in the right place. I looked around and searched wipers and didn't seem to find the issue I'm having. So this is my issue my wipers don't work, and before I go and spend 300 on a dealer part I want to make sure there is no other cure. So I get in my truck turn the key, the wipers move down towards the cowl. And then they go back to place. But if I hit the switch they don't work. Anybody have any ideas ????????

Well hello, I'd suggest posting your question here: http://www.ramforumz.com/forumdisplay.php?f=180
most of the tech's troll the Help Zone. As for the problem you can do a wiper motor replacement with a cost effective unit from a salvage yard or one of our vendors supporting the site is a good source of new parts too.

try taking wipers off, turn it on and see if the knob goes full rotation, if it does, then turn wipers off put wiper arms back on and see if it rotates correctly... almost sounds like the wipers were put on in the wrong position..
