Default No sound from radio speakers.

my 2007 dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi battery just went dead (left something on over night). I recharged the battery but now I can get no volumn out of my radio. Radio seems to be functioning, changes channels, CD mode, AM/FM, time change works. Everything works but nothing out of my speakers. Any suggestions, advice and/or fixes will be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

jj

info. added - I just found that the fuse for the amp was blown. While replacing this fuse it immediatley arcs and pops the new fuse. No matter how many you try to use.

Did you change anything else on your truck before the battery died?
Sounds like a short in the wiring can't say for sure wish I could help more here.

If it immediately blows a fuse, the amp power circuit has a problem, probably a short?

Is this the stock amp?

Default speakers not functioning

Thanks for the replies. Yes it is the stock amp. It is rated for a 25 amp fuse. I did not do anything but recharge the battery enough to crank the truck. It's very co-incidental that this happened at the same time though. I have to believe they are related somehow. Really not sure how to check for a short to the factory amp.

Maybe the amp failed and that is what killed the battery...
Either way, it sounds like the amp is gone.
