Default 5.9 camshaft?

Does anybody know if the cams are interchangeable? I can buy a cam out of a 5.9 Dakota r/t and i wanna know what I will need to do before swapping the cams. I know the r/t are a bit more radical but I'm wondering if I will need springs, rockers etc... and if I can get away without the computer flash. Thanks in advance for any info!

p.s.- the cam only has a few hundred miles on it, the guy swapped it out right away and it's just been sitting.

your 318 cam has 430 lift.. and a stock r/t with the 5.9 is like any stock 5.9 only come with 410 lift.. so in all reality if u did the swap you would loose power! they do make a r/t cam but it did not come stock in the r/t's and are not the same as the stock r/t cam the r/t cam they make come with like 440 lift for a bit more power inscrease..also u can go all the way up to a 480 lift cam with stock internals just need to get new springs.. as i was told.

i dont think hes going to loose power his torque curve will change, but according to my chilton book the 5.2 and 5.9 cams are exactly the same the difference is the size of the bore in the 5.9 wich is obviously alot bigger but all the parts are interchangeable including the heads and intake and cam.
