Do you have the dual exhaust out the back bumper? Have you done anything to modify it? I have mine to close to the bumper and it taps it going over bumps. It did it some when it was stock and down from the bumper. Just a thought.

Sounds stupid, but check your spare tire. If it is deflated or has come a little loose it can make rattling sounds. Had a issue similar to what you describe (admittedly different vehicle) and it turned out the spare was flat. it allowed it to move around just enough to rattle against the lowering chain and frame. It didnt feel loose until I really gave it a shake, then I felt like a dumbass

I have taken mine into dodge 3 times already and they cant produce the sound. I have noticed it only happens when it is hot outside. It kinda feels like my right rear tire is loose when it starts to make the noises.

well it seems to have solved the problem...so far! Dealer ajusted the straps that hold the spare...there is a spring loaded holder that seems to not do the job..will see in the next couple of days!

Could be the L04 recall for the rear tie rods.

Check your tailgate. Mine has a little slop up and down. This could be the culprit.
