Default Duraliner problem

Hey guys. I just bought my 2004 Ram 1500 SLT and it came with one of those duraliner drop in plastic liners. I plan on eventually getting a spray in liner Rhino/Line X or similar. But we had some high winds here in eastern WA state the other day and My wife noticed that when we were on the freeway at about 70 MPH that where the bed liner meets the tailgate was lifting up badly. I am wondering if I should just sink a few self tapping screws in to hold it down or what. I think that maybe this liner is not a perfect fit for my particular bed. Any thoughts?

The drop in liners are the worst thing to happen to trucks, IMHO. I had one in my old dakota and when I pulled it out, the bed had rusted through in 2 spots not to mention how scuffed and worn down everything was under it. I'd say pull it out completely and get the spray liner asap. I have a rhino liner and I recommend it highly, mine stood up to battery acid for 2 months.

You could do that if you're willing to drill into your bed, but a better option would be to use some 3M two sided tape (the gray stuff with the red backing like what comes on vent visors) until you're ready to do your spray in liner.

ugghhh...drop in liners. Hate them!

Don't drill it in, use the 3M tape as Remerson suggests.

Thanks for the advice folks! Think I will use the tape method for now until I can get the spray on.

I would remove that drop in and replace it with a DualLiner truck bed liner. It's a 5 piece bed liner with a rubber mat, they retail for $389 and can be purchased at http://www.dualliner.com - Believe me I love my Dual Liner, I've had plastic drop in liners in the past and they do more damage than they stop. Spray ons have an array of problems too. Yep I'm a DualLiner guy all they way - take a closer look at http://www.dualliner.com/quickview.php
