Nice writeup. I like the look of that Cai. I'm not sure about there being more resistance in the filter though. I thought the whole point of a CAI was to increase flow not restrict it. My guess is you are pressing on the gas a tad harder even if you aren't thinking about it because the noise is nice

the airaid dose get its air from the fender, and it is a nice system. I just got the K+N for 245 shipped and I think they are very similar. The K+N just put the air right into the box.

Well I finally got through a tank of gas on Wednesday. EVIC was reading 14.3 and the manually calculated MPG was 14. That is an increase of about .3-.5 miles from what I previously had when I did it manually. I have noticed better performance and a smoother ride. Plus the roar makes me feel like king of the road.

In other news I installed a BakFlip and am seeing even greater gains with the setup. This is one of the first times I have seen my EVIC go up to 15.0MPG's long term. The truck has about 4800 miles on it. I think exhaust will be next with a nice 18inch MagnaFlow and a Y pipe. The price for those two pieces will be less than the Mufflex and I can use part of the difference to get a pro install done on it.

Ok, since my Airaid and 18" magnaflow I'm getting hand calc 15.4 first tank and 15.2 miles 2nd tank that is about 60%hwy 40%city. My truck as of now has 923 miles on it. In my 2010 5.4 Ford I avg 14.2 same driving so happy so far since my engine isn't even broke in yet..

Thanks for the write up. I was already leaning towards the Airaid but I think this sealed the deal. Only down side is the price has gone up over $40.00 from AutoAnything since first posted.
