It also goes towards the heated seats (and heated steering wheel, which I believe is also included with that option). And I do believe the Vinyl on the factory leather seats is a higher grade than that which is used on the Cloth/Vinyl combo, but I don't know that as a fact.

Yes the difference is between B & C. BlueCrew hit the nail on the head. The $1500 actually goes towards the leather and the heat and cool option. The vinyl is also upgraded to a slightly higher category in terms of looks. If you notice the vinly in the optional seats looks much more like leather than the vinyl in the standard seats.

So its not just a leather option, it is a full convience option that requires the leather seats for the vent holes in the leather so that your butt feels cool and hot.

Just not at the same time I hope.

I'm sure that there are other aftermarket hoods out, are there not? The wife really wanted that hood, but I figured that they were a little too common for me to spend $800 on.

I know what you mean. It is a beautiful hood though. I havent looked into aftermarket hoods too much to be honsest, but I'm sure I'll get the urge to soon. I think you've planted the seed.

I agonized about getting the hood for a different reason. I could not stand the thought of paying that much for a non-Functional hood (well, the hood functions, but the hood scoops don't ), but I finally caved in and got that option just because of how good it looks on the Blue Pearl.

It looks great on any color IMO. Just never been a hood guy.

It was a no-brainer dropping the $800 on the hood. I figured it was a simple way to set my ride apart from the rest. I'm sure there are other after-market hoods out there, but then you have to pay to paint, etc. Get it done now or I won't do it later is how I feel.

I ordered a "5.7L Performance" sticker too (off ebay) that I plan on applying to the hood (next to the vents). If not there then on the doors, just below the badging (I'm one of the members that is leaving the Ram 1500 badging along. LOL.)

I'm also adding some stripes along the front doors. I'll post some pics once my truck is here and I've done what I need to do.

The wait is driving me crazy!
