I could feel it click into reverse but when i hit the gas it just revved the engine. All the other gears work just fine, except reverse. Do you guys have any ideas?
If you have no reverse then you are going to have to take the transmission out and rebuild it again, you probably have a direct clutch problem most likely. But just to rule out a few things. Do the fallowing for me and tell me the results.
Put the vehicle in MANUAL 1ST gear and tell me if the vehicle moves when you press the pedal?
If the vehicle moves then it's not a reverse band or low/reverse servo issue.
If the vehicle doesn't move then try checking the band's adjustment and check the low/reverse servo.
Next thing to do is to check that low/reverse servo pressure. The pressure should be around 140-175PSI minimum with a absolute maximum of 280PSI. This check port is located on the passanger side of the transmission closest to the OD Unit.
If everything checks out and you still have no reverse then remove the OD unit and rebuild it again, BE SURE TO TAKE THE OD PISTON SPACER SHIM MEASUREMENT AND THE SPACER FOR THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT.
If you need help just ask me and I am more then happy to assist.
