Default Linex Bed Liner

The first thing I am definitely going to do to my '11 Ram is spray the bed with linex. I see now that they can color match the stuff to your truck. Does anyone have any experience with the different colors besides black? Does it look good or should I just spray my Cherry Red ram bed with black and leave it at that? Its hard to tell from some of the pictures I have seen online and I doubt any of them are the same color red I would get in my bed... Opinions are much appreciated here!

Thanks!

What color interior do you have? I bet it'd look good in a gray or charcoal.

Hey, and use the link in my SIG to join us in the RED RAM Group and be sure to post some photos!

one of my friends had his bed and some other random parts done in orange about a year and a half ago. it was a lil off in the first place and then started to fade. it didnt look terrible but it was noticeable. i dont know if they have the color stay products like they do for the black. i know they didnt have them at the time.

I say go with the traditional black as the texture difference will give away the liner to start with. Kind of give it a look like you are trying too hard. Once it fades or gets used and scuffed and scratched up it will be seen that it is the bedliner in black, in color it will look like your truck is beat.

For the price differance they quoted me to add a color to my linex, It was definitely not worth it. I am really glad I stuck with black anyways, it looks great against the silver.

I called today to set up an appointment and get a quote for both black and color linex. They said its about $520 with taxes to have it sprayed black and they are having a special with the color matched and its $250 more! lol I laughed in my head and said I will stick with black. When I took my car to the dealer to get it detailed today they told me they found another rebate for being a new graduate and are sending me a check for $500 in the mail now which is why I am getting the bedliner now since thats how much it costs! lol Its kind of weird how that worked out but I am taking it as if its just meant to be.. It seems like my dad got his truck sprayed for a lot less a few years ago though and we have the same size bed so I am in search of coupons or something to bring that crazy price down! Maybe the dealer does it cheaper? Someone please tell me before tomorrow at 10:00 am which is when my linex appointment is.

go onto the Line-X home page, you may find a coupon, just type Line-X coupons & city/State. most places have a $20 - 50 off coupon

another thing, Line-X can shoot stencils over the black spray, i have seen the Rams head sprayed onto the front panel of the trucks bed, others have had school mascots, etc. done on theirs

http://www.linexpics.com/gallery_view.php?ID=10

the dealership had my Ram in for tow hooks & vent visors & they asked me if i wanted a drop in bedliner or a Line-X spray in, i told them a spray in, they called Line-X & they came to the dealership, picked up the truck, sprayed it & returned it to the dealership. I don't know what the dealer paid for it

I wonder how much they charge for something like those stencils. I personally don't like them very much and I am guessing that they will get scrapped off over time anyway.

I do not see a way to search on linex.com and I clicked every link on the site and did not see a single coupon, including the 3 dealers near me...

I just went out and took a last look at my cherry red truck bed before it gets linex'd tomorrow morning and now I worry.... Will they remove the plastic caps and and everything thats in the floor of the bed before they spray? There is a hole in the floor near the cab that I assume is for draining water, will they cover that and cause my bed to flood out when it rains?

What are all those plastic caps in floor of the bed anyway?

I called 3 different shops and the 3rd one offered Line-X Premium or something and said its $100 more or something but looks new forever.... The price was the same as the other 2 shops when they added the $100 for the "premium". What were they talking about?
