Default Mopar cold air intake issues... need help...

Ok so I bought the Mopar (overpriced I know) cold air intake. I was able to put it on today and didn't have too many issues. The only issue I had putting it was getting the rubber washer and air sensor in the new tube, anyways it went on easy overall. My BIG issue is when I started the truck, the engine light came on and wont go off. Does anyone know why this happened and how to fix it??? Truck seemed to run great and I looked in the owners manual and it just said that it could be the gas cap isn't on tight enough or bad fuel milage but I don't think it's either one, with me changing the air intake cause my truck's computer to throw a code??? Help...

You need to find out what the code is. Take it to an auto zone or advance auto or somewhere like that and they will read the codes for you for free.

Thanks guys, but whatever was causing the light to come on must have fixed it's self because when I got in the truck just a few minutes ago, the engine light didn't stay on after the truck started. Guess maybe the computer just had to adjust it's self to the new intake.

Did you disconnect the battery before messing with the Temp Sensor?
With the car still getting power disconnecting the sensor may have messed with you on board diagnostics.

Sometimes vehicles will throw that code when you install a CAI. At first they are confused, seeing more air. However, it takes 3 starts to set a permanent code and the PCM will adjust to the change in air volume pretty quickly.

I went through this with my SRT and the AirHammer intake.

My truck didn't do it when I put on the AFE.
