Default look what i found

tttttruck.jpg

tonight i flushed my radiator and went to clean out the over flow.when i dumped out the tank i found one of these little balls in the hose going from the neck to the tank.i dug it out and then cleaned the rest of the tank....idk if you can tell but there was a junebug in it, along with those litle balls.they are squishy and i dont know what they are...i just bought the truck at the end of december so dont think ive done this haha.

has anyone else had a problem like that?

i know the previous owner put a new radiator in it so im guessing they got a new overflow and maybe the bugs were in it and they didnt clean it out first?idk.the balls almost look like the little cacoon things spiders make in a web.either that or maybe some of the wire stuff in the lines are starting to corrode and somehow got in a ball.

anyways thats a update to my radiator situation(leaking under the cap)
i suspected a bad cap then i was told the water pump was going out.got a free water pump from the dealer(after a long talk) and was gonna put it on tonight and i found this.i hope that was my problem all along and now i got a free pump.

i was just wondering if anyone else has seen any ball type things in the coolant system that might suggest a bigger problem than i have seen.i dont wanna mess up and tear my truck to pieces.

Before you said the radiator was new I would have thought someone could have used some radiator stop leak. That's about the only thing that comes to mind for me.

i was also thinking Bars Leak radiator stop leak, maybe they didn't bother flushing the overflow tank when they replaced the radiator
