correct...because that's showing the highest gear that the truck will go to while driving. Just trust us....we wouldn't tell you to do something that will mess your truck up

in short...if it's a standing start you always start off in first and the number on the evic is what gear the trans will shift up to.
You sir, are brilliant! That make a lot of sense, thank you.

You could beat both those trucks with just 1 mod.
Drag radials. You would kill them both.
Thats all you need.

The tundra has like 4:33 first gear so its going to pull on you especially if your running 20 inch tires.
The SS is not loosing tractioon due to AWD so hes going to pull on you also.
I would put money on it the SS has a chip, but dont expect him to tell you he does.
If you stall up your truck at the light the truck will pull timing,so not a good idea.
Run some 17inch drag radials like Blackhemi, and a Diablo tuner, and you would crush both of those guys, and I mean crush them.
Youll never ever get traction off the line with stock 20s,or shitty goodyear rubber.

I think the R/Ts come with 22s which are even more of a negative when it comes to dragging.

Why not add a CAI? It will do better for your truck racing and non racing. pricey but trust me it will do wonders for you.

Let's say I wanted an exhaust..what would I do? I know nothing about exhausts, and I'd like to do it at a muffler shop, what would I be looking for if I want performance while keeping it quiet?

Buy an 18" magnaflow. Have them cut out the old and weld in the new.

Would that actually increase performance? I don't have to replace pipes or anything, just the muffler?

It will allow the system to be more free flowing. Add an exhaust and intake, they work well together.
