[QUOTE=chefred112;532019]later on if you decide to get a programmer like diablo...you can disable mds with it..

Oh, when you race...do not stall up, you will pull timing..just stomp the pedal from the gitgo, and hope you have traction..

I highly doubt my truck will stall..the R/Ts have a higher stall torque convertor.
I actually like the MDS. I think I'm just gonna go with a Dynomax instead of magnaflow.

when he says stall up he's referring to holding the brake pedal while giving it gas to increase the rpms prior to launching

"stalling it up" is in reference to standing on your brake while bringing the rev's up. aka preloading the torque converter.
This will pull timing from the engine (that's a bad thing) and overheat your torque converter unneccessarily.
If you go too high you will be pretty much ensure the tires will break loose and you will sit and spin while the competition leaves you in your own smoke.

Like I said in my opening post, find a TRACK, hang out and learn from those who KNOW.

...or just got to your muffler shop guy if you think he knows better LOL!

/facepalm

Launching without raising the RPMs really seems to slow me down. There's a bit of an accelerator lag in my truck, and I believe its due to the loose torque converter. I'm trying to find the sweet spot to where I don't spin my tires too much.

As for that muffler guy, he's no genius, but he's probably right about the drone when MDS is on. Since Dynomax solves the MDS problem, I see no reason to go with a Flowmaster or Magnaflow.

I've got a Magnaflow 22", no resonators, and 2.5" tailpipes with 5" Tips , the road noise from the other cars is louder in-cab
There's hundreds of others here with a Magnaflow that can tell you the same, Dynomax has no magic solution.
and if you take a poll on any 4G Ram forum you will see Magnaflow is always the top of the list.

...he's peddling that brand because he gets PAID to move Dynomax That's what they Stock at their shop.

Here's my MDS at 70 - 60MPH,

PS...no offence but are you really 17 or is that a profile error, are you still in High school?
cuz that seems a bit young for a brand new R/T to me or is this really your Daddy's Ram?
