Default Passenger’s Mirror Falling Apart

Being new to this forum, I am having trouble finding the “subject search” option. Therefore, I’ll just ask… I have a 1994 Dodge SLT with a passenger’s mirror that is falling apart – the glass mirror itself is hanging in the mirror housing only by the two small attachments towards the top of the glass mirror itself (hoping that makes sense). It appears that something that held the glass mirror itself to the backing has falling out and not available to replace.

My question: Do I need to replace the entire housing (including the mirror) or is there a kit or part available to reconnect the actual glass mirror?

Welcome to the forum!

That mirror issue is normally corrected with a whole new mirror. I have not seen a repair kit specifically for that.

Sometimes, just sometimes, you can push it back into place. There may be some posts on the back of the glass that snap into place within the housing.

Good luck!

Thanks for your quick reply. It wasn't the one I was hoping for , but at least now I know what to do.
