Took mine back in yesterday morning and left it all day. The dealer was not sure what to do so they emailed Dodge, called me to pick it up and on the phone told me it might be a while before they hear anything back. It took about 45 minutes before i got over to pick it up and by then Dodge had sent a message back with a part number for a torque converter kit. Said the kit was for a 5.7 Hemi with 4:11 gears. I will post the number written on the service papers.

Mine does this pretty often when it kicks in MDS at around 40mph. Did the dealer say it's something that *needs* to be fixed?

I don't think it "needs" fixed but about 90% of my driving is between 35-45 mph and it was driving me crazy. There is a small valley on one of the main roads to my house from town and it vibrates like mad when driving normal through this area. I just want it to drive "normal"..... I do contract work for our local Dodge dealer and am friends with the GM and owner so I drive their cars, trucks all the time and no other truck I have driven other than a white 2011 RT had this issue. It kinda spoils the feel of a new truck......

So are they going to swap out your torque converter under warranty for you?
I havent had any shudder issues yet (fingers crossed). Mine was built after March 2011 so I didnt have the other recall for the rear end that everyone else went in for.
How many miles do you have on the Red beast??

Yes, it's a no charge change and I think if it was going to happen you would have felt it right off. I just now have 1100 miles on the truck and the vibration has been the same from day one. As I mentioned before, I drove a white RT (not that color matters) and it vibrated as well. I hope it will fix the issue because other than that I have enjoyed the truck. As soon as they get the converter swapped out my belltech kit will go on. I don't want any finger pointing as to why it vibrates. I am also waiting on the right bump stops for the front.

This is interesting. I too had the flash done and on the way home from the dealer, it felt better but in a few days, the vibration was back.

So is this Part #RL051167AB the fix for the 2011 RT with 4:11 gears? As you mentioned, it is the only area that bugs me in this nice truck. Never had a vehicle do this and amazing Dodge would allow a vehicle to leave the design stage and plant with this!
Please let me know how you make out at the dealer and if the new part/fix resolves the issue.

It goes in tomorrow morning first thing and I will be at the dealer most of the day doing mobile tinting for them. I hope to score some picture of the swap to share with everyone. It is strange because I don't think ALL the production RT's have this issue. I don't know if a date run is tracable or not. Even stranger that you experienced the same feel after the flash and then back to normal or not normal however you want to look at it. I too agree this should have never been let out. As I stated in here or another thread, I drove a white 2011 RT for 2 days and it did the same thing....

Good luck at the dealer and keep us posted! Appreciate the info and am looking forward to hearing if this resolves the issue for you.

I checked with my parts manager and he said that part number is available at $0 for warranty work only at this point. I had him order it.
