Default The movie"Taking Chance"

Has anyone here seen this movie? I walked into my dads house as the movie was beginning and I could'nt walk away, keeping in mind that I am in no way a "movie guy" this is really suprising. Coming from a family where all men have been in some branch of the armed forces it really strikes home. My dad, brothers, grandfather on his side and myself all served in the Navy. My mothers father and his side are all army or marines, my sister made a career out of the army(18 years so far)and is doing another tour after she finishes school again. Only casualty we suffered was an uncle in Vietnam, they sent his body back and my aunt was in denial and wanted to see his body. My dad convinced her that seeing him in his present state would forever alter her memory of him and talked her into remembering him as the big strong young man that he was when he left. After the movie ended my dad told me that story and it bought tears to my eyes. I knew we lost an uncle but did'nt know those details till tonight.

Everyone here should watch this movie because it is incredible imo...

Spring Dodge has a military tribute truck driven by Colonel Larry Chatman that he does alot of community work in. He pays respects to all fallen soldiers as they are laid to rest and takes part in all the funerals at the VA Cemetary in Houston. Here are some videos:

Yes I saw it. The respect shown as Chance was taken home and the care with which the Marine showed him was amazing without being over played. I was a soldier for 22 years and I hope that my guys that were taken home were shown the same measure of respect.
