Default pillar gauges

hello all i am considering getting pillar gauges for my truck, but im not sure how it all works because i have never had them before.do the gauges somehow wire to the computer?or do you have to wire them to the engine?

also i am not sure what gauges to get.i am thinking like a air/fuel ratio gauge(i heard that is good for a tuner so hemifever can help me dial it in)

what else would be a good idea?or should i just not worry about it?

if so, should i get the 2 or 3 mount?

thanks in advance

wether or not you want the 2 or 3 mount is your prefference but everything is hooked up mechanically not hooked to the computer.

well i had one in my civic before that had 3 gauges in. I would say trans temp would be nice, a/f is nice also. And for third one just anything really, it depense on what you want to know about your truck while its running. And diffrent gauges gets hooked up diffrent spots most of them will have info in the box if not you can go on some sites or google to check how to hook them up. Its pretty easy.

I'll be honest, and I'm not trying to rain on your parade here, but I see no point in you needing the gauges other than the A/F ratio. Normally people get those extra gauges on their diesels or something with a turbo or supercharger. And the normal gauges would be to measure boost, EGT's, and the trans temp. But, if you wanna put the pillar in your truck, then by all means do it

And really the only thing other then your A/F ratio to gauge would be trans temp, but it's not like you're putting it through serious stress to have to measure it. Just my .02
