Default My new Ram impressed last night

My son deployed last night. He has a 94 3500 regular cab Cummins. It had broken down on him a couple days ago. A friend trailered it to my house. There's no way we could trailer it up my steep driveway or even turn around up there, so we off loaded it on the street. It's pouring rain so a wet concrete drive thats steep, I'm thinking it's gonna take 4x4 maybe even low range with this kind of weight. So I thought what the heck let's see what it'll do. I walked right up with no problems! My old 2500 Cummins would've been in 4x4, no doubt, it would spin without a load. Got it to the top and the friend ( a Ferd guy) says 4x4 low? Nope 2wd high. He says you never even spun. Well it's a Dodge not a Ferd..... He wasn't to happy! Now i do have the 3:92 LS.... But I didn't tell him.

Thats great, they do have alot of power thats for sure. Mine has the same gearing. Pulled my 16' landscape trailer with my MF 2610 TLB on the back for the first time this weekend. Hardly knew it was there. Total weight was about 4500 lbs. I really enjoyed the braking power too.
Thanks for sharing.

yea strange breed definitely, but not everyone can be so blessed to have the brain power to know that dodge is definitely superior, despite what Mike Rowe and Denis Leary have to say about it lol, the fact is we dont need actors to sell trucks, they sell themselves

Nice work, I like it when my truck will impress others and myself included, its a good feeling. I had a friend driving mine the other night and I turned the traction control off, he was very impressed on how tight it will turn at full throttle

LOL I guess a little of both! I'm gonna be giving it another test next weekend. Going to hook the camper up for the first time. Going about 3 hours away with a 30', 7000lb travel trailer. I know it'll pull it with no issues. It's just going to be interesting to see what the mpgs do. The old 2500 got 18 no matter what you had behind it, as long as you ran 75mph.
