Any idea on what gears I would need to go with? I have heard that anything under a 35 you can use factory gears most of the time, but this is my first 4x4 and not sure.

I think 4.56 gears would be good with 40's. 44's though you would def have to go a little higher gear.

Well just got a phone call saying I am not going to get the job...so guess 44's are on the back burner for now lol... I am going to just save up and buy the 6'' lift...I know it says recommended tire size is 35x12.5x17, anyone gone bigger with just the 6'' lift? would like to get all I can under the truck. Any opinions on which lift kit to get? thanks

I would think with 6 inches of lift you could fit bigger tires than 35s, maybe 37s?

I would go with BDS, life time warranty, and mine fits 37" on 20" wheels with NO body lift or bar re-indexers and no rubbing on road or off road either

ok I will look into that lift since I am not crazy about body lifts. Does this kit lift and level out the front end? I have seen pics of trucks that are lifted, but the front is still a little lower. I have decided to go with 17 for 2 reasons.. the tires will be a little cheaper and it will give it the 'old school' look, having more rubber than rim. I will definatley look into it, since you don't have to add all the other stuff and cant fit 37's...I am wanting to go as big as possible.

I can get you a good deal on any lift. BDS has the best warranty out there if you ask me. I love mine!! As far as the nose being lower. Yours should be fine on any lift you decide to get.

I do like the BDS kit just by reading about it online, and hearing from some people that have it installed. What kind of deal could you get me on it? Any idea on what it might cost to have it installed? thanks
