Are you planning on doing it yourself?? If so you will have to get a pipe made that is offset because the stock muffler has a offset inlet/outlet on it. I went with the summit racing welded muffler. 30 bucks and its exactly like a flowmaster. Yes it may rust out but I will just cut that one out and re weld a new one in!

I would assume the 07 is very similar to the 09 but something you may want to double check!

the 14" case will be pretty loud, I'd check into the 18", 22", & 24" case mufflers. You'll nee a center in offset out design as well. That's how it was on my '08 when I ran a single exhaust setup. Otherwise you might pay a bit more for some extra piping at the exhaust shop.

I ordered it already and I'm going to take it to a shop when it comes in to get it all welded up, worst case I'll pay allittle extra for more pipe no big deal but I almost went with the summit muffler bc it was cheap but I didn't see much info or reviews so I just stuck with magnaflow which I know is a good muffler and won't rust. Also why would I need a offset out design rather than straight through?

Just for your info....the stock exhaust on my 2006 is 3" all the way back and I'm willing to bet yours is too. Easy way to tell...run out and throw a tape measure or ruler across the end of the tailpipe. I went with a 3" in/3" out muffler and a 3" in/3.5" out tip and it fit like a glove.

Also, offset is referring to how the inlet and outlet are positioned on your muffler. The stock muffler on our trucks has a center inlet but the outlet pipe is shifted to one side. It's just for easier fitment. The exhaust guy will have to add a pretty good length of pipe to fill the space left by replacing your stock huge muffler with the shorter one anyway so I would think he could make a center in/center out work.

Good info. I've been going back and forth between swapping the muffler and something like the Gibson Dual Extreme split rear exhaust. I know the 14" is supposed to be a bit louder but don't want an 18" to be too quiet. Either way, I want the throaty rumble at idle and to hear it when I'm getting on it but w/o the drone. My other toss up is whether to leave the resonator on or now. Decisions...decisions...

Thanks For the Info man good to know, and ya I Want mine to be loud enough to know it's there at idle so I went with the 14" I'm going to lose the resonator to so it will be Interesting to see how it turns out hopefully sound good. Let us know what one you go with
