Nice job but why go to all this trouble? Check out Invisicord and the BlendMount noted above. If your detector uses a modular phone type power plug it's a five minute job to install. Google Invisicord for details. I've had it on my previous Ford and now on my Ram.

AWESOME JOB!

Hi ,
I have 2013 Ram Tradesman. How can I hard wire my Escort 8500? We have base model where our rear view mirror is nothing but a mirror (no wires), our rear sliding window is manual and there's no overhead console. Can I tap into the 12v accessory port? (the one with key logo?).

or any other ideas for us base owners would be great.
