I made the salesman remove all dealer associated decals before taking delivery. I am more than willing to tell people where I bought my truck, but I don't need all the crap on my truck.

Default Still glad I bought my R/T

My first post on here was me debating on buying an Express over a R/T.

http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=79792

Seeing as these Expresses were being trucked in from Mars and were showing up a month after I was ready to buy I went with my R/T which had the only factory option I really wanted which was the Garmin NAV for the 430 deck. With the discounts and rebates I got it out the door for $25K compared to the $31K MSRP. I later added remote start and hitch for the same price the factory sticker was showing so good there now.

In the past I've had the stripper '94 Six Cyl Reg Cab Ram then on to an '04 Reg Cab Sport and finally my R/T and glad I did as I knew this Express would have the same exterior look (sans sport hood and 22" rims) and engine but not gears as the R/T but the main selling point for me was the better interior, standard MyGig and those killer 22's.

That said I have researched a few dealers to finally see some of these Express's (?) with full photos as Dodge is lame on their media pics. Its definitely a 100% better sport truck than my '04 and I've seen a couple posted where they're under $20K.

It will make a sport truck newbie very happy.

It's funny you should mention this. I was considering the same two. R/T versus this Express. And I actually chose the Express for the reason you chose the R/T, the Express' interior. You see, I just can't stand a center console on a Regular Cab truck taking away so much space. And you could only get the R/T's with the center console, so that made my decision easy. I can always add Katzkin heated leather seats for $700, already got a quote for that. And as for the Nav, I'm getting a new Garmin with a bigger screen that the factory one with speech recognition. Oh I forgot to mention, I'm getting a 4X4 Express with 3.92. 4X4 is something you can't get on R/Ts either. So while I do love the wheels and the hood on the RTs and the 4.1 gears, the Express is more for me.

I believe in the 2012 Rams, you will no longer find a 3.92 ratio rear end
they are now making a 3.99 ratio

When I placed my ordered in Feb this was one of the ones I was looking at. I went with the Tradesman because this truck just sounded to fancy for me. Sure is a nice truck though. Makes me wonder if I should have done a little more homework before pulling the trigger. Oh well, Tradesman is at home, I just have to get back from Japan to see it. Cant be upset with a truck I haven't seen in person yet. LOL

Do these come in a 4wd package? If they did, it'd be everything I could ever need in a truck.

I just bought an Express. It is all the truck I needed, and anything it didn't have, I can add at any time. I picked up one that had the cloth interior, and the 3.92 rear. Still have less than 300 miles on the truck, so I can't truly comment on the quickness of the truck just yet. But believe me, if you need more off-the-line power, you need a diesel. Highly recommend this truck if a reg cab fits for you.
