Wondering if anyone has replaced the left front axle seal and how they removed it and reinstalled it. Already have the hub bearing assembly(what a bear that was!) and axle out. :4-dontknow:
I realize this is an older thread, but don't do it. I did the passenger side last night. I found out dodge actually reccomends buying two seals. You are gauranteed to screw one up. The next thing they say to do is to pull the center section out. I just pulled the shift fork off an housing off when I did mine. Because the passenger side acutally does come out by going towards the driver side, so Im assuming the driver side would have to go out by being pulled/pushed towards the center section. Here's my recommendation. Pull the axle. Rebuild so you have a dang near brand new axle, or buy another axle you know is good.
100% serious in this entire post.
