Default Hi-lift jack with mount

I bought a new hi-lift extreme jack and a mount. I mounted the jack in the bed of the truck over the wheel-well. It is out of the way and is locked in place. I also took and old rubber motor mount and cut a piece to fit between the jack post and handle where the mount covers it, this keeps it from rattling quite well.

well i can definitely say that the rear bumper cannot be used, even with a 4 foot piece of 2x4 to try to spread the weight

Receiver hitch works on the rear. If you have tow hooks, a small strap or chain between them and then jack from the center of the strap in the front. I miss the one I had on my Jeep. I had some homemade redneck engineered bumpers that easily supported the weight.

Well, my plan is to use the jack when I get stuck. You can use the jack in place of a winch if stuck. You can also jack up the truck to put something under the tires to get better traction.
