Default Question with 7 pin Wiring.

I bought my dodge back in November. Iit has the tow package on it (I requested a build sheet for the hitch class). I can find the blue plug in for the brake controller, but in the back I can only find a 4-pin wiring harness. Does this mean that I have to do a full 7-pin wiring job?
Its a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L Hemi 4x4 Quad cab.

Thanks for your help,
Nate

some companies make a 4 to 7 wiring harness adapter
you may have to play with this a bit

I did this to my 07 QC a year or so ago. As I remember the color coding on the brake wire under the hood was different. I tracked it down with a tester. If you plan to charge a battery, you will also need to add the charge line from the battery to the 7-pin. It should be a min. of 10 guage wire and the wiring should include a fuse or relay (better if you want to avoid draining your vehicle battery).
