Default Stock exhaust manifolds

I have a 2002 Ram with the 5.9 V8 I just bought. I think I may have just a small exhaust leak. I really haven't checked much yet. I'm just wondering if anyone has had problems with stock manifolds cracking.

I saw a post recently with what appeared to be cracked manifolds in the photos. How many miles on your truck?

The truck has 86,000 miles on it. It's not bad but it does sound like a small exhaust leak. I need to give it a good look over.

I have a stock manifolds off my 03 5.9 Durango that are yours if they're the same. I don't have the truck anymore and these are paper weights.

never heard of them cracking.. i had mine on 190,000 miles + before i switched to headers. and i know on my truck they didnt have a gasket so it shouldnt be that.. have you checked where they connect to the exhaust. mine somehow bent the the pipe where they meet the opening and leaked from there when i got headers. not sure if that could be it.

I still got my stock manifolds and they good to go with 132,000 miles. You prob. got a small leak in your pipe or where they collect. Is the sound coming from upfront?

It's up front and you hear it idle. It's not bad. I'm just one that notice those little things. Drives my wife crazy.... I'll get under the truck and see what I can find. Its good to hear that manifolds aren't a problem spot.
The truck is super nice for the model and mileage (86,000). I've had the truck a week so there's some little things here and there that I'm noticing. It looks like I'll be replacing the drivers power window/mirror assembly. I can't unlock the other three windows. If I can bypass the lock button I will. I have also ordered two new complete upper control arms. One of the upper ball joints have play in it. The guy I bought the truck from had just put new tires and had an alignment done. The place that aligned it just adjusted it all they could and wished it luck. All in all I really like the truck and look forward to driving it a long time.

You mean the other three windows will not go down at all? Will they go down from your driverside assembly?

The other three windows don't operator except from the drivers door switch. It as if the window lock button is in the lock position all the time. They operate fine if you're using the driver's switch.

I have the same problem with my switch. Seems like the window lock is stuck. Sometimes if i play with the button a little the other windows will work by their own switches.

Also, I'd check the doughnut gaskets on your manifolds, I know I am having to replace both of mine (with 193k miles). just my .02
