Glad you're having a nice laugh, it's good for the spirit. I don't think anyone here was expecting to get any record fuel efficiency, I think they just wanted to compare their trucks' fuel economy.

@BLKSPORTHEMI, I have pretty much the same setup as you (except mine is Quad Cab) and I'm getting roughly the same MPGs as you. LeKy411 makes a good point about it appearing to plummet when at a standstill.

I love it that you can not talk about fuel economy when you own a truck, because some body always says you are crying. I get about the same as you guys and am happy with that. But if i could get a little more it is not a bad thing. Loveing my Black sport Ram.

I have a week old 2011 Ram 1500 w/hemi/4x4 and today I refilled my third tankful and a combo of highway and city got me 17.2/gal. I can live with that. I traded a 09 Chev Silverado w/4.8 V8 and the best it ever got was 20.1 highway.

I don't know how much truth there is to the 'break-in' period getting worse mileage, but for me the bottom line is that every single one of us bought a truck that has a huge sticker on it advertising 19mpg city - 26mpg hwy. That's the real issue here. When I can't even make the minimum advertised city mileage driving strictly highway then it makes us angry. If the truck can only get 15 then they should be putting 15.

I don't know about everyone else but I still have my window sticker and it only advertises 13 city 19 hi way and 15 combined and it tells you you mileage will very. My best milage came in the hill country of Texas and it was 20mpg, I pulled a 16' trailer back bucking a 20mph head wind and still got 12.9 mpg. If you keep your foot out of it you'll do pretty good.

exactly same setup here with 5050 miles on it now. I had bad gas/mileage in the first month or two but looks like i am averaging about 15.3 to 16.1 city with a little hwy. To be honest I was driving and at the same time watching the ECO light going on and trying to maintain it on but lately I not worrying to much about it and still maintain around 15.00 mpg. I just want to enjoy my Hemi power a little better without worry to much about MPG.

I drive the hell out of my truck and always have since I drove it off the showroom floor with 2 miles and now it has almost 11,000, and I get about 12-13 city and about 15 highway. Although I can't really call city actually city cause I'm usually going at least 60 and on the highway I'm going at least 90. Truck is a R/T with 4.10 gears and 22s. I've never seen a big drop at stop lights, yes the instant drops but the average stays the same
