Default Ticking up front

The last week or so I have been having a some what loud ticking from what seems to be coming from the front left. At first I thought this was because of the used steering gear box that i put in because it seemed to start about the same time as me replacing it. And i could only notice it on turns. So I replaced the gear box and still am hearing it. Only now I am also hearing it going straight. But only at speeds between 10 and 30 mph. Anything higher than that I dont hear it as well as slower. I am assuming wheel bearing. But can anybody shine a little more light on this issue for me.

I had the same noise, but on the right front. the clacking sped up and slowed down in unison with the speed of the wheel. It was in fact the universal joint. Replaced the left and right side at the same time. Solved the problem. good luck, T.

I'm going to have to agree. I have replaced about 3 of them (Soon to be 4 ) on 2 rams. once you do it a few times, its easy and you can knock it out in no time.

I agree that it's a u-joint as well. Just replaced the right front on mine. Took about an hour total.

Agree with all about u-joint. when replacing get the ones that you can grease thru the zerk, they do last longer....
