Default sport front plate solution

with bugs and all in the pics. I got tired of seeing the dealer frame flap around, and after my truck was backed into in january (****ing idiot property manager at my daughters apartment), it was crushed and something needed to be done. a little googling around and I found cruiserframes.com. I ordered:

#79150 universal mounting plate
#30630 chrome perimeter frame

plate installed with the factory plate bolts in existing holes. new rubber/spongy squares will help hold the bottom away from the bumper. I like the perimeter frames because the mounting tabs are behind the license plate. 4 screws are included to mount the plate.

another of the characteristics I like is that the frame profile kinda matches the sport chrome grill. I love it! gonna get another chrome frame for the rear bumper. looks like a little dremel/razor work will be required to clearance the bumper pad at the bottom of the plate/frame assembly.

funny how the simple things give the greatest pleasure.

I have a blue sport. I went to Pep Boys and bought two chrome frames for a total of $28
I used the stock holes and the security screws provided with the kit so unless you plan on ripping my plate off, you need a specialty screw driver to remove them. They also came with clear lenses and caps for the screw heads for a clean look. I agree they look much better, plus I hate the dealer I bought mine from and refuse to advertise for them.

No front plate in OK, so I painted so I removed the dealers crap and painted two of the chrome screw covers from autozone.

Looks good, if I was still in Texas, I'd use the same one.

on mine I ordered a plate holder from an 09 ram and had to do a little modification but I like the way that it came out. Mounted with stainless screws and everything should stay nice and clean.

Default heres what I did on the back

same perimiter chrome frame. had to cut a bit of plastic with a utility knife, but looks clean and gives a nice uncluttered touch.
