The heated/ventilated seats are great. I'll have to try the "comfort start" option. I would think if you wanted to add this you would need the perforated leather seat covers? And, wouldn't you need the switches in the dash? And maybe additional fuses? I DO know that even if you order a leather bench seat it does not come with ventilated front seating, or a rear heated seat, you have to order buckets to get those options. (that is, on a 2500 series anyway)

Hi guys, so if I'm reading this right you have to have the dual zone temp control in order for the cooled seats to work with all factory switches, I don't want to put on non-factory switches or relays I would want it to look factory. Thanks I hope that was at least slightly clearer than mud

Correct. You would need the dual zone control since heated/cooled seats only come with the dual zone so there's probably something in there that is required which is why it isn't available with the regular ac/heat controls

Question- is the wiring already in place for the seat heaters (underseat and indash)? My plan is to use the factory buttons and the aftermarket heater units. Thoughts?

I talked to the Dodge dealership and they quoted me 600 installed. Apparently the wiring is all there but it has to do something with the dual climate control. You should buy the kit for 300 from Dodge that way you know it's OEM and connected properly. Just my opinion thou. If you decide to go aftermarket let us know. I'd like heated seats.

Heres an aftermarket heating/ventilation system I found on line http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/seatvenheats.html. It looks practical but I would be afraid to tackle this job. I can't seem to find any user reviews. Heres the installation guide. http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/sport...structions.pdf

I just bought a 2013 Sport model, that has the leather bucket seats, and the heat option but, didn't have the ventilated seats. Would love to add it in. Would seem like the wiring harness would be there, and would just need to have the fans and buttons installed. Anyone know if that's true?

I could be wrong but if your Ram doesn't have the auto climate control you wont be able to add the cooling part...

Harness was there on my 2010 SLT Sport. I added the heated/cooled seats from a 2011. They work great, except the leds on the switches do not light up to indicate high or low. 2 Different dealers tried to get them to work, but neither could. Dodge would not help because it was changing the build of the truck. Still, I love the seats, they do work great.
