So would I have troubles in Kirkland ? I was just up there a couple of weeks ago scuba diving in the quarry. The guy who tinted mine said it would be legal here in Ontario. I just made the fronts match the rears at 23%.

Sounds to me like the smaller town cops are much more likely to have issues and give out tickets. I've been driving around in Peel and Toronto passing lots of cops with the windows closed, they don't even bat an eye. So how much was the fine ?

They are doing a blitz for the month of June. Last month was a blitz on child car seats. I had a baby on board and they didn't even take a peek at the seat so I guess when the blitz is over, the heat will be too (hopefully)
The fine was 85 plus victim fee blah blah blah...so around 100.00
It would cost me about that to get tint off plus more $$$ to get lighter shade (which another cop might find "too dark" since we don't have friggen max tinting % standards here in Ontario, we r screwed)

Right now, watching and bringing windows down when i see one lol or just drive windows down when warm for a while.

When you tint your windows you know your going to get pulled over eventually.
Everyone here in PA thinks all the cops have quota's to meet but they don't only state troopers do.
If you respect most cops they'll be pretty good with you, they're just doing their job.
Good way to put it, bro.

Rep points from someone who does that job (in your area as a matter of fact).

I should mention, the baby was my in a car seat all nice and safe but what got me is that the police didn't bother looking to make sure the baby was correctly secured. Only worried about my tint. What a knob.
I was driving a bit below speed limit, observing every safety and lawful aspect of the road and mentioned the police such but naw, didn't matter, got a ticket. again....a$$

I would pay the fine and not care but that is just me. Then you need to also take into consideration the consequences of getting pulled over again. My buddy had tint on his car 20% all around and 50% on the windshield and his car was impounded. Another friend of mine was forced to take the tint off right there on site. Then another one of my friends watched as a cop made cuts and slits with a razor on his windows.

They got warning at first but then they paid with those consequences. It does go on your record. My mom was pulled over in my TL last month and had to go to the state inspection facility to show that the tint was removed completely from the car. So I removed the tint and eventually I'll get it re-done but probably a lighter shade. I was thinking of 50% all around including the windshield.

Removing tint is not hard at all. Take a corner begin slowly peeling. As you peel, you want to spray a mixture of soap and water on the film so that it is easier to come off and also helps you find if there is any glue residue left over. After doing that, I use a product called "Invisible Glass" to clean my windows. If leaves an amazing finish on glass. We use it at my job and then I found it at Autozone one day so I picked it up. It removed the glue residue from the windows immediately.

Anyway .. best of luck!

If you get pulled over roll down your windows and/or turn on your interior lights so they can see you. Go the extra little bit and you might not get a ticket for tint. Maybe.

well for one do u have to go to court if so then the judge will send the officer out to see if you have fixed it if not HA impound and more fines if no court then you will be pinpointed and they will keep there eyes open for you and youll get pulled over alot and yes they have a device then can use to measure the tint
