It's a Coachman freedom express 296 KRED. Yeah it's going to be loaded at 8000 lbs. It's a really nice rig. A little heavier than some b/c it has 2 slides.

Myself and a few others have had issues towing that weight, the rearend will overheat. You will need to change the differantial gear oil from 75-90w to 75-140w and install a oversized cooling diff. cover. (Mag-hytec)

Your nose will let you know...it will stink like burning crude oil or a skunky oder. I use a infrared thermometer too which can now be bought at HarborFreight for $20. My diff.temps were running 300-340f degrees while towing up grades before the upgraded heavy duty lube.

That sounds fair. The oil replacement is easy so I will get that completed.

Thumbs up New Air Suspension System for RAM 1500

In case you're still looking for towing improvement, we're a new vendor to the Z last month.

TLC's patented system has 9" Goodyear air springs that not only level the load but improve steering, handling, braking and ride. (9" air springs are the largest ever offered on a 1/2 ton truck!)

Easy to install; bolts on.

30 day money back guarantee offered now.

Check out TotalLoadControl.com on the Z Vendor page or website.

I have 3.92 gears in my truck, brake controller and all. I tow a 20ft enclosed trailer that weighs over 6,500lbs and it pulls it light without anyproblems. I did a long drive trailering a car also fully loaded with stuff & my bed full of moving stuff. IT drove fine, the only thing is how the rear sags down but like i said, I drove a nice distance and had no problems.
