Default Air Lift 100 Install on an '09

That would be Air Lift 1000

I ordered the 60818 kit from Amazon and when it arrived I thought I'd received the wrong one as it was different than what I'd seen pics of. As it turns out the newer kits have smaller white spacers and bigger bags. This means you don't have to take the springs off to install the kit. In fact, I didn't even take the tires off.

Before you start, make sure you have all the parts that were supposed to come in the kit, put the plastic tee in the deep freeze (it will make the hoses go on easier)and grab a set of pliers and sharp scissors

Take the cap off the air bag and squeeze all the air out of it till its flat (fold the ends over) then put the cap back on to keep the air out. Insert the bag into the spring with the barbed nipple pointing up.. You can put it in through either of the bottom two spring loops.

Pull, poke and prod it until its all the way in (I only used my hands). Once you have it in, pull the cap off and let it inflate.

While it's inflating, route the hose up through the top of the spring then put the hose clamp and spacer over the hose before you put the hose on the barbed nipple. Then slide the hose onto the nipple and then slide the hose clamp then the spacer into place.

Make sure that the spring is not going to pinch it when it's compressed. This it the frame rail in front of the spare. I routed the hoses over it and through the middle of it where I placed the Tee after I'd done the other side. Cut the hose making sure that you leave enough to work with and so there's enough slack that it doesn't get pulled on. (I had 4' of hose left over).

Once you've done both sides, slid the hose clamps a few inches down the hoses then grab your Tee out of the deep freeze and slide the hoses onto it then the hose clamps. Then route the hose over the spare tire and make use of the hole already in the factory hitch.

Go back through and make sure that the hoses are zap strapped away from the exhaust and anything that'll pinch them and you're good to go!

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

I'll be pulling the trailer this weekend so I'll let you know next week what kind of difference it made.

You failed to mention how ridiculously tight the hose is on the air fittings for the bags and the T connection (freezing the T connector helps, and I tried to heat the hose just a bit using my trouble light, but it was still tight). I had the bags in and the hose routed in less than 30 minutes, but aside from the fill valve, getting the hose onto those fittings was a NIGHTMARE! You try to push the hose onto the bag, and it compresses just enough to absorb the force you are exerting to put the hose on. I filled them to 32 last night (I know it says to go to 35, but trying to get right at 35 with a big compressor is tough) and they were the same this morning, no leaks. Can't wait to try them out hauling the boat this weekend.

You're right! I should have mentioned that the trick is to wiggle them instead of shoving them on.

I had no trouble with getting the hose on the bags, but yes getting them on the tee was a struggle. That's when I thought of freezing it and they went on much better.

Next time I'm in a parts shop I'm going to see if they have a brass tee to replace the plastic one.

I tried wiggling them, twisting them, pressing them. Not sure which worked best, but the cumulative effect was getting them on far enough to get the clamp on and still no leaks, so I am happy. I am running about 10 PSI, and honestly, I like the way that it firms up the ride and handling just enough. If you find a brass T fitting, please share, as I think that would be a good upgrade.
