Default Maybe it will fit?

I want to get a Spectre CAI for my 2010 4.7 V8. I had one in my old Ford and really liked it. To me, the cost vs. quality can't be beat. My trouble is that Spectre has not made a kit for the '09 or '10. The most recent they go is to '08 (model 9932).

So I was wondering is there a big difference in the '08's as far as the engine layout goes.

Is it possible that a member can snap some photos of their engine compartment? especially the air intake system.

Thanks!

The 4.7 piping looks like it hasn't changed much in several years, I'd bet it would fit. Others will confirm.

Does anyone with a 2010 4.7 live in Southern California? Spectre wants to do a mock up and needs someone to volunteer.

I agree it will most likely fit; Myself and others have used the airaid modular intake tube made for previous years on our 4th gens, only having to add a coupler that doesn't come with the kit. My understanding is that the intake "geometry" or "layout" or whatever you want to call it, is the same, they just made some minor changes, like I said the coupler we had to buy separate as they changed the way in which the resonator attaches to the TB.

How much is it, if you don't mind sharing? The reason I ask is (and nothing against that brand, I've used their filters and feel they are pretty good) you can get the airaid modular intake tube for about $100 and a filter for about $50. The stock airbox draws air from the fender so it is a cold air intake, just another option....I know you didn't ask....lol. I just personally don't like the aftermarket intakes that have the heat shields that but up against the fender and hood with weatherstripping, I personally think it looks cheap/tacky... You could always buy it and try it, and if it doesn't fit then return it. I don't have pictures, but my dads 05 looks damn near identical to my 2010 under the hood (in regards to the intake).

but with the increase in flow of the air the little tube that draws air from the fender would basicly cut down on the real performance you could get from the intake

From what I've seen with some aftermarket kits they still have a tube that is barely bigger than the stock one. I'd be willing to bet that the stock tube is capable of flowing more than the engine would need.

My intake for my 2010 ram with the 4.7 came off a 04 durango with the hemi. I didn't use the box for the fender. It sounds great. Its a k&n. Thave basically the same intake manifold. Throttle body is in the same position unlike the 2009 and above hemi. Hope this helps.
