I'm sorry to hear about your daughters condition; I'm sure that episode scared the hell out of you. Front doors can't easily be made to stay locked for safety reasons. Yes it's assumed, since it should be mostly adults riding in the front they know better than to open the door while the car is moving. However in the case of an accident doors that can't be opened could be a problem.

I went out to my Ram & took a couple pix
the rear doors can be child proofed, but i did NOT see the same for the passenger front door, or the option to lock the doors from the drivers controls, just the window controls

Thanks GTyankee, I have also looked and have not seen anyway to do what I need to do. I appreciate the time you took to look for an answer.

Thanks again.

There has to be a way to lock out the front passenger door like the rears. Wish i had tbe time to pull the rear panel and have a look.

My ex-girlfriend's son is autistic. I know they can be difficult at times and with certain things. Will she sit in the back or does she refuse to? It may be time to get her used to sitting in the back this way the child locks will help protect her.

for what its worth
if you look at the front passenger door, there is a rubber plug in about the same location as on the rear door
makes me wonder if there may be a kit to also lock that door, like the rear doors
i wouldn't know where to find out if it can be done

Dozer,

She normally does sit in the back, but I had her Grand parents with me and it was determined that the front seat would be better because of some behavior issues.

( I don't need anybody chimming in about her behaviors, they are being addressed.)
