Default Cruise control mystery

Well today while driving down the highway I went to put the cruise on and it didnt catch like it usually does. When I turned off the A/C it caught like it normally does. Well i checked all my Vac lines and didnt see any rips or tears in any of the line or 90's but I know that doesnt mean anything. Does this sound like it could be a Vac leak or is this a common thing?

I'm only guessing here but I think you are losing vacuum somewhere.

Do you have a vacum test kit? I would check the main lines, could be a simple lose clam or worn out... just an idea. I know driving on the HW with out ac can be very loud with the windows down at 70mph lol

i checked all the lines and they seem to be in good shape. the ones on the transfercase have a little rot so i may start there by changing them out.

well i think i fixxed the vacuum problem but now i have notice another.............when the cruise is on the motor jumps up about 200 rpms every now and then. then goes back down to where it orignially was............but when its off it doesnt do it........i thought it may have been the TC locking and unlocking but like i said it only happens with the cruise on.

maybe that is because the a/c motor is kicking in, it takes a bit more power to get it started
my power window buttons cause my engine to rev a bit higher when the button is pressed & the window is either all the way up or down already & can't go any further
