Check out the Soldiers and Sailors Act. You will be amazed at all you are entitled too as a deployed soldier. Most, if not all, leases are negotiable for termination or readjustments as the situation calls for. Save all that you can. CALL HOME OR WRITE OFTEN. Lack of communication is the biggest villian when it comes to divorces in the military. Send her an occassional boquet letting her know what she means to you. DO NOT BECOME COMPLACENT WITH HER either at home or abroad.
If you need any help from a seasoned wife of a husband that was deployed back to back for 17+ years, just ask.

No problem:
Complacent (as defined by merriam-webster):
marked by self-satisfaction especially when accompanied by unawareness of actual dangers or deficiencies : marked by complacency : self-satisfied <a complacent smile>

Anotherwords, don't get too comfortable in your marriage or safety while deployed. Don't take things for granted assuming they'll always be around.

im in the af, security forces, and ive been over twice now, iraq and afgan. if you got any questions ill answer what i can. a good hard copy of your orders will get you far with almost anything, including a cellp phone contract. put it on hold or terminate, at no fee as long as you have orders. my brothers 91b so i feel for you.

I am the same MOS, and Between being tasked for Route Clearance (fun) and doing recovery missions, I have spent nearly ALL of my 24 months of combat time outside the wire. Definately more out than in.

Brink- Also have your wife join the FSG (Family Support Group) within your unit. Alot of times these groups will have people that volunteer their time to help out around your house with things that your wife may be unable to do, or needs help doing. Examples: Help cut grass, shovel snow, fix common items in homes that break (dripping faucet, hot water heater go out etc, etc.) Being in this group wil also help the time go by faster for her, and give you a sense that everything on the homefront will be taken care of. They usually have monthly meetings and host special events throughout the year.
