GREAT BEER & SWEET MODS! Im in the same boat as you with the flaps, kicking the idea around but i have a sport and think they would take away from that look...really like the trailer cam idea. What wires did you tap into for the footwell lights? I need to do this, i like light down there.

Really nice work and writeup

The picture of the a-pillar, I assume that is the switch for the radar detector. Where did you source that?

And the blue light in the pic below is that the LED you said you installed? If so where did you get the parts and do you have any more pics? For some reason I can't quite make out its position. Thanks

I'm still just not sure about the flaps. I took a few more pics, but just am not feeling it just yet.

For the foot well lights, I followed Stum3rs lead on this thread.
http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=82551&page=2
You can see I posted there as well too on my method of tapping into that circuit without splicing the wires. I used "D-sub plugs". It is pretty cool to see all that light when you get in the truck. I had pre-wired LED strips from Ozium so this mod took no time at all.

The switch at the bottom of the A-pillar is for the radar detector. It is called the "smart cord" for Escort radars. It gives you basically an extension of the display of the radar detector and also has a mute button. You can pick them up on ebay.

The blue switch is just a 12V switch with a LED in it. You can get them at any autoparts store, or even ebay for a couple bucks.

If you look at the pic of the shifter here, you can see the switch on the panel below. Like right next to were your right knee would go.

Thanks for the info; the Smart Cord is new to me i might need to look into that.

Thanks for the pic on the switch. I couldn't quite figure out where it was and now I know why; I don't have a center console LOL

A very clean install! Thanks again.

Nice job man, Love the blue truck, very nice. I want to also hard wire my radar detector and I have the smart cord thing too but was wanting to do what someone else on this forum did and that is wire it into the keyed power at the rear view mirror, I just need to find those micro spade connectors or the D-sub plugs to do it cleanly. Great mods though, keep it up and we'll all be spending more money from all the ideas we get on here..lol
