Default Lock Changing a 1984 Ram Pickup? Help...

Guys,
I have a 1984 Dodge Ram pickup without keys and the stearing wheel is locked. (How I came to own it is a long story) How do I change the stearing wheel lock or get new keys?? The dealership says their computer does not go back that far to make keys for it. AutoZone can get me a key cylinder but I have no idea how to get the stearing wheel disassembled.....

Help Please and much Thanks, Sam

It is not that hard to disassemble. There is a rod under the column that activates the ignition as well (I use to carry around some needle nose pliers to start my 85).

i just lost my keys for my 1988 ram a couple weeks ago and it was cheaper to get new door locks for both doors and a new ingnition lock came up to $48 at advanced auto i had to wait till the next day to get it but that wasnt bad for something for a older truck and it wasnt that hard to do if u have a hynes manual
