Default low speed tranny vibration?

Hi all,

I've searched around on this issue I am having, and have got my mind running in circles...

My 1999 ram 2500 5.9L 4x4
A few weeks back I think I pushed it a little too hard. I towed a bobcat about 100 miles and it is not too happy about it.

I realized at the end of the trip that I was leaking tranny fluid up by the cooler, althought I may have had a slow leak prior to that. That was an easy fix (well sort of) with a new set of cooler lines.

The more serious issue is that I have a vibration that us coming from, what I believe, is the transmission area.

1. Slight, but noticeable vibration with low power on the pedal.
2. goes away, or is less noticeable with more pedal. But will come and go at mid speed.
3. stops in neutral even when rolling.
4. I replaced the rear driveshaft U-joints with no change.
5. Prior to this issue the transmission did have a problem shifting at times. Would rev up high and then finally go into the next gear.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hey man, I had a very similar issue with my 01 Ram 1500 5.9. I took it to a tranny shop and it didn't throw any codes. When they took the pan off to get a better look, the insides fell out. I ended up getting a full rebuild on the tranny. Wasn't too expensive. Runs like new now.
